Nancy McDuffie is a soprano and retired voice professor in the Department of Music at Virginia Tech.  She has has performed in operas, musicals and recitals at home and abroad and has been co-host on a number of Robert's garden tours.

Robert McDuffie is a Landscape Architect and Emeritus Associate Professor of Horticulture at Virginia Tech. He taught courses in landscape design and in the history of garden design. In recognition of his record of outstanding teaching, he was awarded the highest teaching honor at Virginia Tech, the William E. Wine Award for Teaching Excellence.

Robert is co-founder and former Director of the Hahn Horticulture Garden at Virginia Tech.

During the past 20 years, Robert and Nancy have taken over 1000 people to visit gardens on 5 continents and over 25 countries, including: France, England, Wales, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Austria, Spain, Portugal, New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland, Italy, Japan, South Africa, and the Netherlands.
